Calibration Cube
Dimensional Accuracy

Calibration Cube (XYZ)

Verifies dimensional accuracy on all three axes. Measure the X, Y, and Z faces with calipers and compare to the target dimensions to catch scaling issues and step miscalibration.

Tip: Print at your standard settings. A well-tuned printer should measure within 0.1–0.2mm of target on all sides.

Temperature Tower
Temperature Calibration

Temperature Tower

Identifies the optimal nozzle temperature for your specific filament brand. Each section prints at a different temperature so you can compare surface quality, stringing, bridging, and layer adhesion side by side.

Tip: Use a slicer temperature change script. Look for the zone with the cleanest surface, least stringing, and best bridge quality.
~45 min Multi-zone Script required
Retraction Tower
Retraction / Stringing

Retraction Tower

Dials in retraction distance and speed to eliminate stringing and hairing between sections. Each tier tests a different retraction value so you can pinpoint the cleanest result.

Tip: Start with 0.5mm increments for direct drive, 0.5–1mm for Bowden. The cleanest tier with no strings is your sweet spot.
~30 min Direct / Bowden
Overhang Test
Overhang Performance

Overhang Test

Tests how well your printer and cooling setup handles unsupported overhangs at increasing angles, typically from 10° up to 70° or beyond. Reveals the true limits of your cooling and speed settings.

Tip: Note the angle where quality starts to degrade — that's your support threshold. Vary fan speed to push your max overhang angle further.

3DBenchy
All-Round Benchmark

3DBenchy

The industry-standard 3D printing benchmark. Tests overall printer performance including overhangs, bridging, stringing, surface quality, and dimensional accuracy — all in one iconic boat-shaped print.

Tip: Print at your standard profile. Focus on the hull overhang, cabin roof bridge, chimney, and stern text as your key quality indicators.
~1.5 hr All-in-one
Flow Rate Cube
Flow Rate / Extrusion

Flow Rate Cube

A single-wall hollow cube used to calibrate your extrusion multiplier. Measure the wall thickness with calipers and compare against your target line width to calculate the correct flow rate percentage.

Tip: Slice with one perimeter, no infill, no top/bottom layers. Measure all four walls and average them for accuracy.
~10 min Calipers needed
Bed Level Test
Bed Leveling

Bed Level Test

Prints a thin layer pattern across the full build plate to reveal leveling inconsistencies. Spots high and low zones that cause adhesion failures or elephant foot in specific regions of your bed.

Tip: Print at a slow first layer speed. Look for gaps, inconsistent squish, or lifted corners across the full plate — not just the center.
~5 min Full bed coverage
Phil-a-ment
Filament Benchmark

Phil-a-ment

A comprehensive filament-testing model that evaluates bridging, overhangs, stringing, surface quality, and fine details in a single print. Great for comparing different filament brands head to head.

Tip: Print multiple copies in different filament brands at the same settings and compare them side by side for a direct quality comparison.
Multi-test Brand comparison
All in One Calibration
Comprehensive Calibration

All in One Calibration

A single model covering multiple calibration checks — tolerance, overhang, bridging, retraction, Z-offset, and surface finish. Efficient when you want a full-system check without printing multiple separate models.

Tip: Examine each section individually after printing. This replaces what would normally take several separate test prints.

Commission a Model
Custom Work

All the tools, calculators, and models on this site are free and always will be — no accounts, no paywalls, no catches. That doesn't change.

But if you need something specific that isn't in the library — a bracket with exact tolerances, a custom enclosure, a part that fits your exact hardware — that's where commissions come in. Fill out the form and I'll get back to you with a quote before any work starts.

Pricing Starting at $20 — price varies by complexity, quoted before work begins.
  • Functional brackets, mounts, and holders
  • Custom enclosures and housings
  • Mechanical assemblies and moving parts
  • Parts that must fit around existing hardware
  • Anything requiring specific dimensions or tolerances
